Information trouvée : Margaret Gardiner was born on April 22 1904 in Berlin, Margaret Gardiner, who died
on January 2 aged 100, was famous chiefly as a patron of the arts, though the description
hardly does justice to her important place in British cultural life in the 20th century.
But Margaret Gardiner's most tangible achievement was the Pier Arts Centre at Stromness,
Orkney, which she founded and to which she gave her own collection.
