Architecte indien (né à Pune, Inde). - De 1954 à 1957, il travaille dans l'agence de Le Corbusier à Paris. En 1955, il retourne en Inde où il supervise les nouveaux bâtiments de Chandigarh. Il est le représentant de Le Corbusier à Ahmedabad de 1954 à 1959. Il ouvre son agence Vastu-Shilpa à Ahmedabad en 1955. - Enseignant, cofondateur de l'école d'architecture d'Ahmedabad (1962-1972) et du Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (1972-1981) et du Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad. Lauréat du Prix Pritzker en 2018.

Information trouvée : Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi OAL (26 August 1927 – 24 January 2023) was an Indian architect. Having worked under Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn, he was a pioneer of modernist and brutalist architecture in India. In 2018, he became the first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize, which is considered one of the most prestigious prizes in architecture.
