Information trouvée : First Nations Health Authority : The establishment of Canada’s first provincial First
Nations Health Authority (FNHA) was a key component of the Tripartite First Nations
Health Plan signed in 2007. The FNHA will handle service delivery within the BC First
Nations Health governing structure and the British Columbia Tripartite Framework Agreement
on First Nation Health Governance mandates the FNHA to undertake the service delivery
responsibilities currently carried by Health Canada’s First Nations and Inuit Health
Branch, Pacific Region. The FNHA is governed by a 7-member board of Directors and
was previously established in 2009 as the First Nations Health Society by direction
of the First Nations Summit, Union of BC Indian Chiefs and Assembly of First Nations.
