Note publique d'information : The object of this study is to improve the lifespan of centrifugation dies used in
the cast iron pipes production. Their internal wall is subjected to intense heat fluxes
(of the order of several MW/m²) during a few seconds. Ceramic and/or metal coatings
are used to protect this surface of the substract. In order to evaluate the efficiency
of the coatings, in particular the deposits obtained by thermal spray and welding,
we propose to evaluate the heat flux density with an inverse method that uses the
temperature data measured in the die during some experimental castings. We analyse
the thermoelastic behavior of bi-materials according to some parameters such as :
the ratio of the two thermal conductivities of the respective coating/substrate materials,
the ratio of dilation coefficients thermal, the ratio of modulus Young, the thermal
resistance of contact and the thickness of coatings. We intend to optimize the coating
for two required effects : the heat shield to protect the substrate from high temperatures
and the thermomechanical screening to ensure the integrity of the assembly and protect
it from high thermal stresses. Our method enables us to trace thermo-mechanical maps
that help in the choice of the coatings for a given substrate. We take from literature,
measure or evaluate the data necessary to calculate the temperature and stress field
in our experimental test, namely the thermal conductivity, the specific heat, thermal
diffusivity, the thermal dilation coefficient, the Young modulus and the elastic limit,
for the 20CD10 steel, CuCrZr, Silk 414, Silk 34, Silk 113, ZrO2, NiCrAlY, WCCo and
NB.
