Note publique d'information : En France, entre 1945 et 1972, la FSGT a promu une démocratisation sportive de sensibilité
et de conception " soviétique ", où le sport de " performance ", élément de culture,
est destiné à former un " homme nouveau ", éduqué physiquement, socialement, culturellement
et politiquement. Cependant, son réseau politique, syndical et sportif a relayé de
manière inégale cette doctrine au sein du tissu sportif français. Son modèle unifié
de la culture physique, liant l'élite à la masse, a rencontré nombre de résistances,
au premier rang desquelles l'hostilité de certains militants CGT opposés à un militantisme
sportif perçu comme concurrent à la lutte syndicale au sein de l'entreprise. D'autre
part, la contribution de nombre d'édiles communistes au développement d'un sport spectacle
commercialisé, associée à la diversité et la mobilité temporelle des pratiques militantes
d'acteurs de terrain FSGT ont également œuvré à réduire l'ambition sociétale de cette
fédération affinitaire.
Note publique d'information : In France, between 1945 and 1972 the FSGT promoted sporting democratization of soviet
style sensibility and conception, where competitive sport, a cultural element, is
destined to shape a "New Man", physically, socially, culturally and politically educated.
However its' political, trade-union, cultural and sporting networks passed on this
doctrine irregularly to the French sporting community. Its' unified model of physical
culture bringing together the elite and the masses, met resistance from many quarters,
firstly from certain members of the CGT, opposed to a sporting militancy seen as rival
to the trade unionist struggle in the heart of industry. Moreover, the participation
of many communist elected officials in the development of commercial exhibition sport,
associated with the diversity of actions of grassroots members of the FSGT and their
temporal mobility, have equally worked to reduce the social ambitions of this federation.
