Note publique d'information : La grammaire générative fait problème en tant que théorie explicative d'une faculté
de langage. Se plaçant dans la continuité du positivisme, elle ne prend pas en compte
la circularité anthropologique du phénomène langagier : la déconstruction de son objet
montre que celui-ci ressortit à des principes rationnels distincts. L'épistémologie
galiléenne dont elle se revendique permet cependant de comprendre où se situe sa cohérence.
Les sciences de la nature telles qu'elles sont apparues avec l'Epoque moderne se caractérisent
en effet par leur structure immanente technique, liée à la mesure appareillée et à
l'algébrisation. Il est dès lors probable que la grammaire générative, avant d'être
explication, soit une production outillée de langage.
Note publique d'information : Generative grammar causes problems as a theory of language. Working on the same lines
as positivism, it does not consider the anthropological circularity of linguistic
phenomenon : deconstructing its scientific object reveals that it comes under the
heading of separate principles of human rationality. Galilean epistemology, to which
it appeals, however, gives a way to show off its point of consistensy. As a matter
of facts, Galilean nature sciences, as they appeared in the 17th century, are distinguished
by their technical immanent structure, linked to measuring apparatus and algebra.
It is therefore possible to formulate the assumption that generative grammar is a
technically equipped 'production' of language, before being an explanatory theory.
