from January 3, 1935, to January 3, 1947; was an unsuccessful candidate for renomination
in 1946; resumed banking and farming interests; actively involved in civic life; resided
in Baltimore, Md., where he died on July 29, 1974; interment in Cambridge Cemetery,
Cambridge, Md."
